Chaserider gives Remembrance Free travel for all Armed Forces, Veterans and Cadets!
Service personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and cadets will be able to take advantage of free travel on Centrebus services all day on Remembrance Sunday (9th November) and Armistice Day on Tuesday 11th November.
When boarding the bus, all those eligible for free travel will need to show the driver their Armed Forces identification card, Veteran identification card or Ministry of Defence-issued Veteran’s Badge.
Who can travel for free?
- Members of the Armed Forces in uniform or wearing medals
- Members of the Armed Forces who present a valid identification card
- Members of the Cadet Forces in uniform
- A veteran displaying valid identification such as the MOD-issued Veteran’s Badge or wearing medals
If safe to do so, Chaserider drivers will be allowed to pull over at 11:00am on both days to observe the two minutes’ silence.
We’re always keen to support this national event as it’s important to pay tribute to all those who’ve contributed to serving in the forces both in the past and right now.
We hope free travel on our services will make it as easy as possible for as many veterans, serving personnel and cadets to attend Remembrance services and events in their region.
The patience of customers in helping our drivers to pay their respects is much appreciated.
